I'm Carole, living in London, happily married and mum to two amazing boys.I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer in April 2010. Surgery took place in November 2010 and I now have a permanent colostomy...Spinal mets were then diagnosed in October 2011...In January 2012 I was told of further spread to the hip area (multiple lesions)..My life expectancy is now 6-9 months. Walk alongside me on the last part of my experience with this..

Happy Birthday Dad....76 Years Young :-)

Today is my Dad's (Paul's) 76th Birthday

I know you'll all want to join me in wishing him a Happy Day :-)

Last night we took mum and dad out for a meal - which I'll post about later today, for now I just want to say

    happy birthday paul you are a good looking 76 i think you have that the wrong way round and you are 67,and you have a wonderful daughter in carole who i am sure you are real proud of so have a nice day and many more of them.

    Yes we are very proud of our lovely daughter Carole, she is a daughter in a million, and we love her so much, and are very thankfull to all of her lovely friends on the forum and blog , you all make a big difference to her and help her to cope with this horrible Cancer, thank you so much.xxx

    Hi Paul,

    As usual your very special daughter has hit on the real meaning of family and asked her extended family on Cancer Chat to join in wising you Very Many Happy Returns.

    It is a privilege to do so. Having experienced the ups and downs of the past year, makes one realise that although money may be tight at present, this is unimportant. The love and support we all receive on this site is above price and although I am rather late in the day I would like to extend it to you and your wonderful family.
