My lovely handsome eldest son, James, and beautiful daughter in law Leanne just returned from a wonderfully relaxing holiday in the Dominican Republic.
After all the stress we've had with me over the past year, this was exactly what they'd needed to get away and recharge their batteries..they had a great time and I wanted to share with you a couple of their pictures to prove it :-))
I'm just SOOO happy that they had a nice, relaxed time and were able to get away from it all for a brilliant break.
James and Leanne, I love you both more than words could say - it's great to be able to post 'happy' stuff which shows life continuing the way it should do.
My only complaint is that you didn't take me with you LOL :-)))
A blog about Rectal Cancer, and the roller-coaster it takes you on. No matter how sick you start to feel you just can't get off until it stops - one way or another - and in the meantime life goes on pretty much as normal. So this is a blog both about rectal cancer and life going on as normally as possible... :-) Please do feel free to leave comments, comments are great :-)

Children, huh? You sweat and slave and sacrifice to bring them up and then they bugger off to exotic foreign climes and have a good time without you. Pfffttt! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Chezzy,
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of both my lovely boys.
All I need now is for Dj to find himself a lovely wife (when he's older of course) then it's all sorted :-)

Hi Sally :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you found me...you've got tons to catch up on, but all in your own time :-)
Thank you for the lovely comments and yes, I AM so very proud of J, he's always been amazing :-)
Hey Steve,
It's good to have 'nice' stuff to blog about eh. Sometimes it doesn't have to be all about me, me, me and my issues (thank goodness) :-)
Oh and I definitely didn't go with them but I'm planning a job on a cruise ship soon so just watch out - lol xxxx
Hi Carol,
Yep, as you know life does just go on regardless and it's great to be able to put the 'C' stuff to one side.
You're very good at doing that too - your blog is always so positive even when you're really going through it.
Hugs and glad you're starting to see improvements xxxx
Thanks Shents - it is good to be able to post happy stuff - something I couldn't have done just a few short months ago...
ReplyDeleteMind you, it's impossible not to be happy around J & L because they are both happy, smiley people :-)
Hey Tony :-)
Memories are made of this eh :-) And you're right about how lucky we are.
Big hugs xxxx
Dear Rose,
Yes, they are very happy which of course makes me very happy.
What more could any mum want for her son apart from a lovely daughter in law who makes him totally happy...
No presents except their safe return looking totally refreshed, relaxed and tanned :-)
We stopped holiday prezzies years ago because there's nothing worse than trawling around trying to find touristy bits for people when you *should* just be laying on a beach relaxing :-)
Carole,
ReplyDeleteYou have every right to be proud, what a beautiful couple. And as a Mom, isn't it so rewarding to see our children happy, living fulfilling lives, your right, there isn't much more than that to ask for. And what a beautiful reflection of you!
Take care, love Rose Mary xoxox
Hi Rose Mary,
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to hear from you :-)....
They are a lovely couple, I'm so glad they found each other,
:-)
Sis, who on earth are these two people!? Its not right that you have now turned to stealing random photos off the Internet!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
I love these photos of James and Leanne, a well deserved break. looking forward to seeing them here in the Island soon. And of course they have the added bonus of a swimming pool now! xxx
Ps, don't know why, but only just found the updates to your blog after 2 weeks!! Thought you'd gone on holiday again!!
Carole, Oh my, isn't it wonderful to post happy things. I'm so glad you shared these beautiful photos. They remind me of how cancer affects the whole family and also the fact that our loved ones need to get out there and enjoy some normalcy too. Thanks for sharing, Carole. Simply lovely. Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteSis,
ReplyDeleteLOL @ the 'stealing photo's from the internet' comment - so funny...as if there'd be someone else out there as gorgeous as my J and L eh :-)
xx
Hi Nancy,
Lovely to hear from you again.
It's true that these photo's did make me think about how 'c' affects the whole family - and yes, it was truly lovely to see them back to their happy, smiley selves.
