Surgery took place in November 2010 and I now have a permanent colostomy...Spinal mets were then diagnosed in October 2011...In January 2012 I was told of further spread to the hip area (multiple lesions)..My life expectancy is now 6-9 months. Walk alongside me on the last part of my experience with this..

Results ....still partial so far....

I got my email this afternoon as promised by my colorectal nurse.

Not got too much to say this evening apart from:

  • The multi disciplinary team have decided that they now need to do an MRI of the pelvic region of my body.
  • The colorectal nurse has today started the ball rolling with this and I should get an appointment within the next few days.
  • She will then be organising an appointment for me to go back into clinic to meet with my surgeon once they have collected all results together.

Watch this space :-)

  1. Hmm, pelvic area. Well that's fairly specific and rules in and rules out particular organs/areas.

Yes I will be watching this space - very closely. Thinking of you Carole and sending hugs ((o))

PS I got a little toy yellow VW Bettle in the post today, from you know who, lol!

  2. Progress. Slow, but in the right direction :-)

  3. Hiya Shents,
All systems 'go' now - considering I wasn't getting a a scan til Christmas at one point :-)

  4. Hi Fiona,

Yep, pretty specific and *not* exactly where I was expecting there to be any issues.

Great pressie, he's really thoughtful and I just love them both. Really great people :-)

  5. Carole wishing you good thoughts and positive energy with

    Love Alli....xx

  6. Thank you Alli - am definitely needing those thoughts and positive energy vibes now :)

  7. Oh Carole, I will certainly be watching this space and hoping and praying [all fingers and toes crossed] for the best possible outcome.
    Live, Laugh and Love♥

  8. HUGE hugs. Thinking of you. Fingers crossed that Saturday's scan is a waste of time and there's nothing to see.

Love ya. Even when you're beating me at Melody Mahjong.

    Lou xxxxxxxx

  9. Chez, thank you as always....xx

Lou, I can only dream about beating you at Melody Mahjong :-))
As you say, let's just hope it's all a big waste of time & then I can get back to playing games and maybe even getting *somewhere* near your latest score

  10. Hi Carole,
I will be watching this space too!
I am thinking of you, and wishing you well. Sending positive thoughts and vibes.
    Blessings and hugs!

  11. Hey Carol,

Good to hear from you :) Thanks for the positivity vibes...I'm hoping you're starting to feel a little better now?

Will check your blog in a bit

Hugs back to you and a reminder that you will feel tired for a good while yet - slowly slowly - just remember that

  12. Keep posting those updates! It's all moving in the right direction without further delay.
