Rab doesn't read my blog - he knows all about it, thinks it's a great idea but hasn't read it at all. He will one day but I think he's waiting until I'm fully recovered for some reason....
However, he does like to know that he's included on my day to day list of what goes on and he's insisting that my 'glog' (as he insists on calling it) shows my lovely flowers that he got me on Saturday....
So here goes.....This lovely man below
Got me these lovely flowers on Saturday
Happy now Rab :-) (Not that you'll read it just yet of course - lol)
A blog about Rectal Cancer, and the roller-coaster it takes you on. No matter how sick you start to feel you just can't get off until it stops - one way or another - and in the meantime life goes on pretty much as normal. So this is a blog both about rectal cancer and life going on as normally as possible... :-) Please do feel free to leave comments, comments are great :-)
About Me
- Carole
- I'm Carole, living in London, happily married and mum to two amazing boys.I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer in April 2010. Surgery took place in November 2010 and I now have a permanent colostomy...Spinal mets were then diagnosed in October 2011...In January 2012 I was told of further spread to the hip area (multiple lesions)..My life expectancy is now 6-9 months. Walk alongside me on the last part of my experience with this..
Lovely flowers and well deserved!....
ReplyDeleteNice bloke too, he has a caring face...who else would buy you a book on open heart surgery...obviously very caring, just in case!
T
Strange coincidence... the random word generator that you have to put in to process the comment was 'inglog'
ReplyDeleteHi Tony,
ReplyDeleteRE: Strange coincidence....can you try again and see if it comes up with 'NoOpNec'?
(= no operation necessary)...:-)
Gotta laugh eh ;-)
As for Rab getting me the book, I'm assuming this was about covering all HIS bases just in-case...I wasn't exactly going to be able to operate on myself at some point in the future.
He's mad at times, lovely mad, but completely loopy. I have at least 12 umbrellas and I don't ever use them because I HATE umbrellas!
Lovely flowers, Lovely Rab - bit of a dish isn't he?! (and no - I don't mean that he's a bowl or a plate!)
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing ok, Carole
Much love x
Oh Shents, he will SOOOO love that comment (totally vain and that'll make him even worse) LOL....
ReplyDeleteI'm doing OK at the moment, thanks.
Sorted out my (very) long list of questions for Wednesday (which I'll probably post here some time tomorrow) and feeling prepared - sort of. BUT still not made any final decisions regarding surgery...yet.
Hiya Mum,
ReplyDeletedon't need to think about decisions yet, just get your questions dealt with first and then see what you feel.
You seriously should put a list together of the more bizare gifts Rab has got you, some things just crack me up,lol
P.s great work Rab xxxx
Hi Honey
ReplyDeleteWas just thinking about you. All the best for tomorrow. Love you more than peanut M & M's!!!! xxxxx
Well done Rab
ReplyDeletep.s. And I thought the umbrella all the way from Rhodes was an original present!
hugs and lots of strength for tomorrow sis
xxxx
Sis, the Rodos Umbrella is different - it's pretty and a designer umbrella.
ReplyDeleteThe dozen (probably more) I've had from Rab have all been HUGE black things (Giant Man sized ones) that are so heavy you'd need to be a weight lifter to use it.
Lou - peanut M and M's ARE pretty nice though :-)
James,
ReplyDeleteThanks for going through my list of questions today and for the excellent advice and listening ear - always helpful. But then that's you, always helpful, always there for me, always been my reason.....Loadsaluv Mum xxxx
PS. Thanks for taking your brother for another two days this week as well. He just loves spending time with you and Leanne and it's so nice that you can both find so much time for him xx
Good Luck for tomorrow...and remember to make a nuisance of yourself, you know you can do that! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Tony for having the faith in me to do my best to be a complete nuisance :-))
ReplyDeleteI'm fairly sure my mum would tell you that I've always done my best to be this way - LOL!
