My Scan.......

I got what I wanted.....

My PET scan is taking place at 2pm tomorrow (1st September)..the hospital contacted me today and asked if I could do this despite the very short notice - I agreed because it suits me just fine, sooner the better.

I have to fast from 8am - only water after that - then get to the hospital for 2pm. The lady I spoke to said to expect to be there 2-3 hours as this scan takes time - YAY! Exactly what I want, a thorough, precise and LONG scan - perfect.

Fill you all in after the scan tomorrow.

Positive thoughts please between 2pm and 5pm...If this result isn't what I want it to be the next step is surgery as this really is the last thing I can try....

  1. Wishing you all the luck in the world for this afternoon. Will be thinking of you. Quite an appropriate day to tell you Barbara sends her love: you've been in her thoughts a great deal recently.

    Much love, as ever xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. As I await the results of my PET scan last Thursday, which will determine my own chances of receiving the favoured course of treatment, my thoughts are with you today and the vibes are positive all the way.

  3. Glad you got the scan so quickly. Persistence pays! I think the doctors will put a special note on your hospital file, usually its something like, NPO (nothing by mouth)
yours will have a note like DAW, (do not argue with!) hehe,

I'm to the chapel in a bit xxx

  4. Thanks Lou, Barbara left me a lovely comment yesterday on the post below 'Nice day just chatting'....was truly lovely to hear from her again after all this time :-)
Thank you for the positive vibes for this afternoon xxx

David - again, thank you for the kind thoughts, every single one helps me 'get'there - wherever 'there' may be :-)
When you get your results will be a good indicator as to how long mine will take, so I'll be keeping my eyes open for good news on yours xxx

  5. Sis, LOLOLOL -
I LIKE being a nuisance and they'd be wise not to waste their time arguing with me when it concerns MY health.
Like I said, after this scan I'll behave and do as I'm told - IF the result is active, viable tumour.
Thanks for the candle today (I'm sure you did one for me, even though you haven't said that you did).
    Talk soon Sis xxxx

  6. I apologise for not writing a comment on your blog until now, I always feel as though I may be intruding in some way.

But there's a first time for everything, and I'm feeling rebellious today (that may just be the caffeine high, I'm not sure)

Aunty I've got everything that I could possibly cross, crossed for you, I've also crossed the fingers of the teddy bear, which is not mine!

I've also called upon divine intervention, a lot.

Give Djamel my love. I'm thinking of getting one of those gas masks myself, they look strangely cool. And would come in handy should anything err....bad happen (God forbid).

Your always in my thoughts. Always.

  7. Lamia, my gorgeous niece, you could never ever be intruding and I'm so happy to have you here....

I told my sister and James that you were following the blog and you'd comment when you felt the time was right - I know you're there Lamia and that's what matters sweetie xxx

Now, about the teddy....are you SURE he's not really yours? :-)))..
I still have James' 1st teddy, he's 29 yrs old now, battered and bruised but still our 'Charlie'. I could never give him up.

The Gas Mask makes Djamel sound just like Darth Vadar :-)

Thank you for your continual prayer Lamia, hopefully I'll get some positive news this time. However if it's the same result I've now decided that I can and will do this surgery.
    Much luv xxxxx
